GRP (Glass Reinforced Polyester) is a versatile construction material that has been in use for over 50 years in a huge variety of applications, from boatbuilding, to motor vehicles, to building materials. It has a better strength to weight ratio than steel, is a natural insulating material, it won't warp, shrink or rust and is virtually maintenance free.

GRP is an inherently dent resistant laminate, able to withstand knocks and blows that would easily permanently deform and damage a traditional steel door.

GRP can be moulded in smooth gloss finishes or with a stunningly life like Woodgrain finish, using moulds taken from real high quality solid timber door designs to give an authentic and faithful finish to your garage door that will even deceive the experts.

One further significant feature of GRP is its' ease of repair. Should a door panel become scratched or damaged, GRP, more than any other material used in garage door construction, is easily and effectively restored leaving a repair that would pass the closest inspection.

ABS doors are made from a tough yet flexible material commonly used for car bumpers, so when knocked the door panel flexes then bounces back as good as new. Fully bonded steel stiffeners at the rear of all ABS doors reinforce the panel and help protect against a forced entry. The doors are maintenance free and only need the occasional wipe down with a damp cloth.

Yes maintenance will be required, different levels of maintenance is required for different products.  Most manufacturers recommend the working parts of your new garage door to be serviced yearly.

Yes our quotation includes removal and disposal of your existing garage door.

Most customers prefer to be present when work is being undertaken but as long as we have sufficient access to the garage we can complete work without you being present.

Yes, as long as driving conditions are safe our fitters will complete jobs in poor weather conditions.

3 Crown GRP Garage Doors

Garage doors in standard and made to measure sizes, with an integral steel frame bonded over to provide added strength and rigidity. Available with canopy or retractable gear and side hinged doors.

4 Crown GRP Garage Doors

Garage doors in standard and made to measure sizes Featuring double skin construction with internal steel reinforcing. The flat backing conceals all bracings for a very neat interior finish in light reflecting white. Doors over 10' wide feature external white powder coated steel horizontal stiffeners to the rear of the panel for increased rigidity. Due to the double wall construction of these doors, no translucent window options are available. Available with canopy or retractable gear and side hinged doors.

5 Crown GRP Garage Doors

Garage doors in standard and made to measure sizes, with an integral steel frame encapsulated in polyurethane foam within a flat textured G.R.P. panel bonded to the rear of the door. This provides supreme rigidity and an attractive backing to hide the bracing structure normally visible on all other G.R.P. doors. Available with retractable gear only. Due to the foam filled double wall construction of these doors, no translucent window options are available. 5 Crown is not available for doors over 3048mm (10'0") wide and 2134mm (7'0") high.
